By using Online Transcript you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What the service does
Online Transcript converts YouTube videos and audio files into text, and can transcribe a live stream in real time. A free tier is available to everyone; a paid Pro plan adds tools that reshape the transcript into other formats.
What you may transcribe
You are responsible for the content you submit. Only submit material you own, or that you have permission or a legal right to transcribe. Do not use the service to infringe copyright, to process recordings made without the consent required where you live, or for anything illegal.
We may suspend an account that abuses the service — automated mass requests, attempts to break the platform, or repeated infringing use.
Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you believe someone else has access to it. You can close your account at any time.
The Pro subscription
Pro is billed through Lemon Squeezy on a recurring basis and renews until you cancel. You can cancel whenever you like, and access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Prices may change, with notice before the change affects you.
What we do not promise
Transcription is automatic and will contain errors, especially with poor audio, crosstalk, heavy accents or specialised vocabulary. Do not rely on a transcript for medical, legal, financial or any other consequential decision without a human checking it first. Summaries and AI-generated content carry the same caveat.
The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption, nor that a given video can always be downloaded — that depends on third parties we do not control. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or loss of data or profits arising from use of the service.
Your content is yours
You keep every right over the audio you submit and the transcript you obtain. We claim no ownership over them and do not use them to train models.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
