Transcribe a meeting or an interview

A recorded meeting is useless until someone has to find the one sentence where the decision was made. A transcript makes that a search instead of a re-listen.

Upload the recording, get the text, and keep the part that matters.

How it works

  1. Export the recordingMost conferencing tools let you save the meeting audio. Any MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG file works.
  2. Upload and transcribeThe transcript comes back punctuated and split into paragraphs rather than as a single block.
  3. Summarise itWith an account you can also turn the transcript into a summary or a written piece with the content tools.

Interviews

For journalists and researchers the value is in the quote: the exact wording, not a paraphrase from memory. Having the interview as text means you can search a term and find every time it came up.

Interviews recorded over a call transcribe better than ones recorded in a café — background noise costs accuracy.

What it does not do

It does not label who is speaking. You get a continuous transcript, not a dialogue split by speaker, so for a four-person meeting expect to add the names yourself.

It also does not join a call on its own: you record the meeting with whatever tool you already use, then upload the file.

Frequent questions

Does it separate speakers?

No. The transcript is continuous text; it does not identify who said what.

Can it transcribe a meeting live?

Live transcription exists for streams and is part of the Pro plan. For a normal meeting, record it and upload the file.

How accurate is it?

Clear audio transcribes very well. Accuracy drops with crosstalk, background noise and voices far from the microphone.
